The Rule Of Air Management  is…

“THE new basic skill in Firefighter safety, survival and fireground excellence.”

The ROAM says:

“Know how much air you have, and manage that air, so that you leave the hazard area before your low-air alarm activates.”

Across the nation, firefighters are waking up to the reality that we can no longer treat our air as an afterthought.  Numerous line-of-duty deaths, serious injuries and close calls are a grim reminder that running out of air in the hazard area is a risk that cannot be taken.

This site is dedicated to our brother and sister firefighters who take on an expanding array of dangerous and deadly emergencies with courage, skilled expertise, and conviction.

Within these pages you will find continually updated drills, articles, photos, and up-to-date information on Air Management and many other fire service topics.  There are numerous links provided to some of the best sites in the biz.

The guys at Effective Fire Service Training (EFST) would love to come to your town and share the latest training on THE CUTTING EDGE TOPIC in the National Fire Service.  Or maybe you can join us at one of the many regional and national conferences we are scheduled to attend.

With the coming changes to NFPA 1404 and the growing recognition that Air Management is a necessary requirement for all progressive training programs, EFST has the training you need.

Enjoy the site and feel free say hello.
